Question where can I get a Rear Quarter Panel (pass. side)

Alright, my mechanic backed up my car and smashed my Rear Pass. side quarter Panel. He is a long time friend and its all good. I won't kill him.....this time.

Anyway, was wondering where I can get one for the best price. I will most likely go with Mazdacomp, but wanted to see if anyone else had any ideas.

Thank you

It's better to repair the panel if it's repairable. Welding in a whole new panel presents many potential issues. In any case, a new panel would be cheapest from MazdaMotorsports, Malloy, or Mazdaformance.

I have yet to see the damage as he was just finishing up on a few things when the accident occured.

He says I'm going to need a new one. But, I'm going to bring it in and HOPEFULLY it can be repaired. I don't want someone cutting into my car and welding. Man.......what a fcking mess.

The quarter panel by itself lists for $574, Mazdacomp would probably be in the $450 range, I would imagine.

There could be other structural damage though. Take it to the best shop in town -- good relationship with your mechanic or not, he screwed up and you shouldn't have to suffer for it.

They have it all. I know of someone who got the 99 J Spec front nose through MazdaComp. Actually, if you do a search you'll see what I'm talkin about.

Hmmm.

I know they have it all, I just thought you had to be a road racer to get body parts.

I've been a member since 1997 and have never gotten body parts.

You are correct. As per the rules, you need to race in sanctioned road race events (read: plaster your car with mazda stickers ) to qualify for body parts/non-drivetrain parts.

Thanks for the clarification guys. It should still be in the $460-470 range from Malloy or Mazdaformance.
