Where can I find metal clips?

If we're talking about the same thing, we called them "barrel clips" back in the day. If Malloy doesn't have them, places like Fastenal may. Take one in with you to match when you go.
You could also try the salvage yards. I'd bet Mazda didn't use them just on our FDs. I know that 2nd Gen. Probes share a few other things, that's where I'd start.
As a last resort, a bit of clear silicone caulk will usually hold them in the hole nicely until the next time you remove it. You just have to tape the panel in place until the silicone sets up.

Or...if there is a auto body paint store in your area swing by there. Usually they will have a rack of various fasteners for the auto body guys to pick through. I ordered fender/engine dam fasteners from Ray...but found the exact same thing for 1/5th the price at my local auto paint shop. Who'd a thunk it?

Not sure which metal clip you are referring too but also try your local auto part store in the "help" section.
