Sorry to start a debate..

But with my 2+ year experience with Mobile1, I really don't see any benefit.. Like Jeremyb said, only advantage would be E shaft and maybe turbo.. But if there is any contamination in the oil, synthetic or not, it will still harm the engine.. Best would be to change it often..
4 times the cost that I've spend ($200+) I rather buy 4 times more oil and change it 4 times more often.

I usually buy Havoline or Pennzoil regular when they go on sale for $.59/qt in a case purchase after mail-in/instant rebate from Kragen. It's almost always in the Sunday papers.
