Those cars are bound to be cheap fucked on trash.
Easiest line is "you pay for quality"
Face it you're Cheap. Just open up the wallet and get some decent mirrors.
PS: I'd recommend Container shipping your next imports. Then fill up the car with parts.

Usually $4k can get me 40-100k avarage-verygood shape with A/M items like suspension rims air cleaner and sometimes even an Power FC with commander

I'm not cheap, for the cars that I keep I don't hold back, even bought a useless *** kaze hood blisters for one of my GTO for $450
I'm aware of container and It's only worth it if you ship 4-5 cars at a time and if you have a good stuffer, I've heard too many horror stories about container.
RORO is almost always worth it when shipping cars with factory specs (not lowered, other loose stuff inside)

I guess my question to the op is who do you plan on selling the car to since you only paid 4k for it? Is it just a matter of getting the car, patching it together the easiest and also cheapest way to maximize your profit when you turn around and sell it to an 16-22 year old kid?
To quote a line from Seinfeld, "Not that there's anything wrong with that" since that's what since in some ways your helping yourself (profit) and also some kid that wanted an FD as well. My hesitation like many on here is the fact that most of us love the FD and hate to see them devalued like a honda that is riced out and with anything a person cares about, they'll tend to be defensive if they thing someone else is making it look bad.
Now about the mirrors - Do you want an aftermarket set or what about stock to replace it? I'm sure Ray Crowe at Malloy Mazda could get you some at a great price for oem stuff.

I thought you were getting at $4k shipped. . . now thats what is hard to believe.

My God, the dude started a ******* thread asking where to buy a set of mirrors and this is what happens?! Not just one of you, but many gang up on him over a ******* question about some mirrors?!
It's just crazy sitting here, reading through everyone's bullshit and the arrognace that some FD owners have, because they think that not only their FD, but ALL FD's should only have the most expensive, quality parts known to man, and that even buying a set of Ebay mirros is a terrible thing because "it is the most bestest greatest car ever built." I love my FD, but **** get real people.
I'll be sure to keep any cosmetic purchases for my FD to myself, because really I wouldn't care if anyone liked it because I bought it for my FD, not yours.
Downgrade an FD......lol
If you want to save them all, buy them all, if not, worry about yours and don't worry about what other people are doing.
And why would he want to be "accepted" after a bunch of members just got done verbaling raping him for no reason? I bet he's thinking that a few people can straight up go to hell, because I'm sure he isn't worried about being accepted by people who treat him like garbage just because he wanted to put "cheap" mirrors on a 7.

This is what seemed insulting, for those who know me know that I don't hide problems/sell piece of **** cars
Is it my fault that I can get em for 4k and the value in canada is 8-10k ?
I'm not keeping the car, so what's the point of getting $800 mirrors when the goal is to just "have" mirrors and to pass the out of province.
How do I benefit from buying $800 mirros, no one really cares or asks, on most of my cars I get JIC/TEIN suspension that's worth 2k, none of my previous buyers were ever concerned with what kind of suspension or what kind of brakes does the car came with, all my previous buyers cared about was the mechanical condition and the overall cosmetic condition.
