Where to Buy BLACK Spark Plug Wires

Not to sound stupid(which I am sure I am),but where can I buy a set of high quality thicker core spark plug wires, that AREN'T RED, BLUE or some other loud color. Personally, I am not interested in drawing attention to my plug wires.

Thanks.
Josh

dude.. what attention? you can hardly see the plugs anyway. they're buried under the UIM.

but if you want black.. Vitec makes them part # 23-U4126 $139.00 RX-7 1993 1.3L VR . kind of pricey though.

Then close your hood. You have to peer into the engine bay and look under a bunch of hoses to even see a very small part of the wires on an FD. Hell, you have to remove the throttle body and a bunch of other stuff to replace them.

This is one of the strangest requests I have ever read.

Imaginary conversation between two stunnas:

Stunna 1: Whoa look - he has RED spark plug wires!
Stunna 2: Wow - his car must be hot. Let's steal it!

well i am glad you have had a laugh and flaunted your ignorance, moconnor. Apparantely, you have never heard of people relocating their coils, or maybe you were in such a hurry to make a joke that you forgot, whichever the case it doesn't matter.

My coils have been moved and remounted, therefore, the plug wires are more visible than on a stock setup. Where they are mounted, they are visible through my closed hood, since it is vented.

You are probably right about one thing. Whomever, these "stunnas" (whatever f'ing kind of ghetto talk that is) are probably aren't worried about looking at my wires. The outside speaks for itself and I am sure if they had the inclination to steal it, they would most likely be attracted for various other reasons.

Oh, and I'd have to say I have seen much stranger requests on this forum.

Thanks, for the vitek info gambit. I have found a local rotary shop that will make them for me for almost half that price.

Well first off you dont have to remove elbow to replace plugs/plug wires. 2nd, if you want black wires get a set of bosch wires at your local parts store. You either have to special order or you have the choice of getting the kit where you make your own wires *very easy and cost effective 3mm*

Crane makes some black ones. I picked up four sets when they had a sale a while back ($8 or $10 for custom FD sets ). It sounds like you need custom wires if they need to be longer, but perhaps they have a "make your own" set in black that would work for you.

my engine bay is completely ripped apart right now for the install of my new engine and turbos, but I am sure I will be posting pics of the new setup as soon as it goes in sometime this month. i am in the process of collecting/buying the last few knick-nacks i need to finish the project (eg the plug wires). i try not to post the sig, since it isn't done, but noticed that i forgot to uncheck it for this thread.

the new stuff going in is in my sig, but essentially it is mounted in that old cruise control area of the engine bay.

I believe Taylor makes some black wires - they're of VERY good quality too. You can also get "build yourself" kits from them to make the wires the exact length you want for your relocated coils.
