I see one once a week, the job site I'm working at right now some guy takes his FD to work. I wanna bitch slap him because there is heavy machinery/concrete/trucks going through there all the time. I wont be surprised if concrete mix gets on his FD. I've also seen him go up on gravel roads. I just wanna shoot him and take his car, <FD'S ARE NOT MADE FOR OFFROAD USE>.

Anyways other than this guy, I see one once a week or 2! I sometimes go a month or so without seeing one(other than my own), I detail my car every 3days with really soft working soap. I also change the oil every 1500 miles, cuz its my baby, I just dont understand some owners who treat their car like ****!

I see probably 1 other FD a month - i know that there are 4 other FD's local to me (a white one, a red one, a black one and silver one) but i dont see them that much. One guy i believe sold his, and the other totalled his a while back.

So just me, the silver one and the red one left now...the red one's got 3 spokes too eugh.

I also very rarely see a blue one from time to time, its a 99 car with some sort of BBS style DTM wheel, looks nice...a lady driver too!

they are a rare car indeed!

Question Silver Stock Sitting in FL

I'm fairly close to Pettit but other than the cars on site, haven't seen one down here for some time.
While Driving home from Orlando to Boca Yesterday to my joyful delight saw Silver looked like stock R2 blazing down the opposite side of the turnpike. Good looking out. Outside many of the shops that I have come across in the last two Years, seeing an FD actually mobile on City/coutry streets is a question that everyone knows the answer to. Keep your eye's pealed??

Besides the actual RX7club meet I was at in Alpharettta, Georgia...I'd only seen twice since I'd lived here for 11 years...well, I'm sure I crossed pathes with one on the road and didn't know it.

Before I even knew I wanted one, I remember seeing one next to me and going "Eh...another MX-5/MX-6...wait a second, the door-handles...dude, that's an RX-7!! Awesome!!!" It was black, I remember that much. I probably gave the guy a thumbs up too.

Just driving to my friend's apt, a red FD pulls next to me at a light while I'm in my FD, and whitles. Turns out it was Mr. Gary (FedUpFD) or w/e his name is on here. LS1 in his, super clean swap. We played around, it was fun. Pulled over to talk afterwards.

In the Seattle area during the fall, winter and spring, 1-2. In the summer, perhaps another 4 or so.

People are always approaching me to ask about the car >> Is that a new model car >> wow an rx7 >> is it fast, do you want to race >> what kind of car is this >> can I have a ride etc.

I live in a small town South of Houston near the Gulf of Mexico. Last year I saw a MB FD, but understand it was recently sold. I've seen a SSM FD on the toll road in Houston, a VR FD where I work, a white FD (new to town). I seen and ridden in Chuck's car (cewrx7r1) after he installed his GT35R. Seen Kyle's VR car (twokrx7) which is in the process of receiving an LS1 swap. Seen roadsterdoc's pristine SSM.

I've got a 1993 BB R-1 w/67K miles, a damaged 1993 VR Base which I bought for a track car (and then found out the PS frame rail is bent), and an SSM parts car that was rolled.

So I guess compared to the rest of you guys, I'm in FD heaven.

I'm 18 years old. I'v seen 2 fd's(besides mine) in my entire life. I only took one look at one to know that I had to have it. Then I began researching them and found out what a pain in the *** they are. That just made me want it more.

The scarcity of these cars is really starting to be pronounced in some areas. My son had some of his "older" friends (15 - 16 year olds) over yesterday to skate on the ramp I'd built, and I had the garage door open since it was like 70 degrees here, and these kids were flipping out! None of the three of them had ever seen a 3rd gen before...didn't even know what it was.

I love it!
You built your kid a skate board ramp. That's cool!

I'm living concord right now and there is a very nice MB one that an older guy
drives around and I see him once a week. I've also seen a VR one a few times.
There was 4-5 FD's in the Santa Rosa area that were running, and twice as many FC's.

I see them maybe once a month around vancouver/portland area. I see 1st and 2nd gens all the time but very few 3rd gens.
About a week ago I was merging onto the freeway in vancover when i look over and there is a silver fd. He looked just as surprised as I was to see another fd. We drove side by side for about 3 or 4 miles and did a couple of pulls from 55-95.
Pretty fun!

I haven't seen in one central Illinois for the past four years. Other than that there were four parked in A-Spec's parking lot in Chicago when I had some work done about two years ago.
They seem to be pretty rare around here.

There are three FD's that i've seen around Ann Arbor, VR, BB, and Chaste White. All three had exhausts on them, but i havn't been able to talk to any of the owners to figure out what else they have. The VR and Chaste White ones have single tip exhausts, and the BB has a (i think) RB Duals setup.
