When was the last time you saw another FD running around?

Here in the Wichita area, I haven't seen one for close to 2 years now. I mean I realize there are only about a half a dozen even in the city, so yeah the likelihood is not that great anyway.
The scarcity of these cars is really starting to be pronounced in some areas. My son had some of his "older" friends (15 - 16 year olds) over yesterday to skate on the ramp I'd built, and I had the garage door open since it was like 70 degrees here, and these kids were flipping out! None of the three of them had ever seen a 3rd gen before...didn't even know what it was.

I love it!

Today. I passed a red fd w/ 96 tail lights and a 99 front end. I couldn't tell what kind of wheels it had since it was in motion, but they looked to be gun metal.

(San Francisco)

Typically if I drive around I see four or five in the neighborhood.

Even in the car rich Bay Area I only see one every two to three weeks. Most look pretty tired too unfortunately.

I'm not counting the people I know too. If I did, I'd say I see 15 different ones a month.

Heck, I saw 7 this weekend.

Damn, prob past summer at the track.

There is an FD or 2 around me but they are always parked. And i dont believe they are on the forum cause i always put FD sighted with no response.

I may see 2 - 3 per year in this area. Did see a white one Christmas day traveling 85 S between Spartanburg and Greenville, SC. It was a rainy day so did not try to get close. Was driving the wife's SUV. I travel up the interstate several times a year and hardly ever see one. Most must be on west coast.

I hardly ever see one around here, its probibly been six months since the last time I have seen another FD out on the street. I know there is a handfull in the city where I live but I never seem to see them. Owning a FD in the northern MidWest can get a bit lonely at times, there arn't many around.

I seen a VR here about a month ago. There are three others that I see maybe two - three times a year.

Mine is the only one in this town of about 50k now the others have left, I have never known more than 3 to be in the town at once. The only time I ever see another one is in Tulsa or OKC, and then its been once in OKC the last 2 years I have been there and once in Tulsa the last year I have been there, though I know a bunch of people in Tulsa with FD's, we just never meet up.

Outside of FD meets, not often. Probably once every couple months that I see one on the road.

In town, I've actually seen about 3 different ones..... 4 if you count me. Davis is a pretty small town (but lots of college students and staff) and I'm a bit surprised that there are this many. Lately however, I haven't seen any driving around mainly because it's been raining. The Sun broke through today so I took the FD to work

Since Turbojeff sold his CYM... it's been awhile. As a matter of fact, the only time I see another FD is when I drive by a store window and see mine !

I've seen two different VRs (one on two separate occasions) in the west suburbs of Chicago, in a span of about 6 months. They are rare out here, even though I know there's a few Chi-town members in this forum.

Lol..............wow, this is so true!

I was on vacation last May to California, and seriously I was only in San Francisco for 2 freakin days and I saw........... 2 first gens, 3 second gens and 4 third gens.

I couldn't beleive it.....it was awesome. The first 'first gen' I saw was honestly 10 minutes after we drove out of the airport after landing and started heading up the 101 into SF.

Your guys meets must be amazing...here is crappy weather right now, so I haven't seen another RX-7 in 3-4 months. But there are a few handfuls around Toronto in the summer.

You guys are lucky they're so rare up there... we're flooded with them down here in NZ (in Auckland at least) - I see at least 10 FD's driving around on any given day

Actually people don't seem to bother to come out to meets very often. It's always the same few guys I see all the time.

I live in the kind of town one would call "hickville"; needless to say, I've only seen ONE FD in the 7 months I've been out here. It was a VR with pretty much perfect paint and '99 spec taillights. Some white guy with glasses was driving it.

I used to live in Pasadena, CA, and I saw two different ones during the course of a year: a BB one on the 110 N FWY to Pasadena (super clean, lowered on stock rims), and another BB one on the 91 E that was riced out (had MAZDA stickers/emblems on it.... looked like ****).

Yah, a clean FD is a rare bird indeed
