when i am not in gear my idle is fine, but when i shift into first and idle, the idle bounces from about 740 to 910 rpms. Please help!!

 

Mine too. I have a new clutch, and a new motor, go figure.

My idle does funny things when I go in/out of gear during the first few secs of a cold start. It's not a problem, but a feature of the evil "Advanced Warmup System" trying to kill my engine so it'll pass smog! Then again, mine's a California car...

Is happening when the car is warm? Clutch in/out make any difference?

 

WHen the car is warm, and i shift into first with the clutch all the way in, it bounces when the engine is cold or not it still bounces

I have a JDM fd with no AWS and I get an erratic idle.

go figure.

 

Alot of people said that it could be a bad clutch switch....
