Wheels to go with 15th anniv. kit

I've seen the Mazdaspeed flares look pretty uh... not right.. on several cars. What is the wheel width/offset used on the ones that look really, really good (R.E. Car)? Also, is there any special technique of getting a factory-appearing finish as far as wheel to body alignment is concerned? Do you have to cut back the fenders to use a wider wheel so you don't get that nasty overhang that the flares would cause on, say, stock wheels?

TIA!
Steve
