What's your annual income?

After seeing the post on occupations, I'm just curious. So many engineers and technical occupations. What do you guys make to maintain these spoiled cars?

I'm talking about your personal income, not household.

The second category is to large to be any good. It covers from 14.42 and hour (based on 2080) to $38.46.
Cut that in half 30 to 50, then 51 to 79 would be a better grouping.

Damn, ain't that the truth. Regardless of what I make, my wife only gives me a certain "allowance" to be spent on the FD. And I can tell you right now, it isn't much

$250K isn't really a whole lot - I had a g/f that is a MD and earned $800K+/yr.

It turns out the $70,000/mo. she earned made her a bit weird and it wasn't worth the difficult ways about her. I had a good job and didn't want her money; I eventually found true love.

Case in point, my second wife and I both earned six-figures. Only problem was she was a bitch and could never have enough of it although we kinda had too much. Moral: money isn't everythinng and you've got to be a nice person regardless of your perceived wealth.

According to the US Department of Labor, average labor rates for Americans last year was $17.75. Assuming a 40hour work week, this equates to a $37k salary. So in essence, you're wrong. $250k is an extremely large salary.

I also call BS on your "800k" figure. The average Physician (one of the highest paid workers in the health field) makes $53 per hour. Even if you assume a 60hour work week, this equates to $167k per year. So if she was making 800, there had to be a great deal of people making a whole lot less than 160 in order to average out.

She's an OB/GYN. She operates a lot. Bein' how's you obviously know more about it than I do, I'm a CRNA; how much do I earn, Mr. Smartypants?

I'm just going off stats from US Dep Labor. Apparently, average OB-GYN salary is a little over $200, with about 6% of them being higher than $400k (that's as high as they report). If she was making $800, then she must be somewhere in the top 0.5% of OB's in the nation. Very impressive!

Again, according to US Dep Labor, CRNA's make (on average) $127k. But, I'm sure that you're in the top 0.5% as well, so that would probably put you close to $600,000 per year.

I don't make anywhere close to that, so obviously I'm extremely impressed.

Wow, glad I'm going back to school...I got lucky with this job I have now, and i'm in the lower bracket of the 2nd choice. man, I wish i made anywhere near 100k, I'm doing well off right now but jesus. Takes money to make money soooo I need more money haha. My goal when I graduate is about 60g and I'm willing to relocate for wherever that may be....I don't care if cost of living is higher because then if I move somewhere I can ask for a hire salary.

Don't sweat it man. I don't make near $127 a year, try cutting that in half. I do have 4 days off a week, yep every damn week I have 4 days off. I can also guarantee my car can do quicker lap times, at any road course on this planet, than mark57's AA ***.

Drop $127 into the rx7 and you still won't do quicker lap time.

Money isn't everything just like mark57 said.

The malpractice insurance of OB/GYN is probably close to $100k. I can promise you the stats you love so much are 35 years old. There are opthalmologists earning a million/year. Eyes, hearts (CV), bones, OB are in the top rungs. General surgery = more the $50-60/hr. That's totally laughable. Specialties to avoid are family practice, pathology, ER, and radiology, and anesthesiology although the poorest a doctor ever is - is rich. The more invasive procedures you do on patients = big $$$. Sorry Rob, but you know less than zero of this. New CRNA grads start at close to $70/hr. in the market here.

Nope, stats are posted every August using data from that year. The data that I posted was compiled in August of 2004 using data from Aug 03 - Jul 04. So it's a little over 1yr old. I'm glad that you pointed out that I know less than zero about this. Although, I don't remember ever saying that I did. I just posted some national stats that were compiled by the Labor Department, then I made some logical connections, and posted my opinion of it. Obviously, you have proved me wrong. So thank you for the enlightenment!
