i am a new member. just purchased a 93 fd with 62,000 miles. i know for sure the three recalls haven't been done. called mazda with the vin #. wanted to know when i put the car in the shop for the recalls should i have a compression test done??? how do i know if the turbos are working normally, never had a turbo. drive a honda civic. should i replace all the hoses with silicone? the car seems fast to me but my other car is a civic. it has a down pipe and a cat back (not sure what kind) with the stock air box. if i replace the airbox will i see a siginificant increase in performance??? if so what kind is the best??? are turbo boost gauges and turbos easy to install by yourself or does it has to be done at a shop. the car pulls hard but seems slow to me. kinda disappointed when i drove the car. i would think it was alot faster. i am not sure if i got accustomed to speed. used to have a race bike suzuki gsxr bored to 853cc with 115rwhp!!! very quick.
