What's the thickness of the rear sway bar....
ends where the link bolt on to.
I have an Addco 7/8" sway bar and everything about it is great.
Lasted longer than the Racing Beat and Suspension Techniques ones that I have used. Never broke. Never warped. Never lost it's rigidity.
But the gripe that I have about it is that the end where the links bolt on to is too thick.
When I insert the threaded bolt from the link through the hole, there is hardly any thread left to twist on a nut.
The bolt part doesn't even make it through the nut.
This is the 4th time the nut has come off.
I like to know what the factory sway bar ends are in terms of thickness so that I can shave my ends to the proper thickness.
Can someone get some measurements for me with a caliper?
BTW, does anyone think that heat treating and normalizing the sway bar might increase on the sway bars stiffness?
