What's the purpose of this ground?

Got it unplugged for a while and I can't see anything weird...

Where does it plug into? Can't find any free frame bolt nearby...

Looks like the ground that goes to the ecu mount. Pretty sure if you leave it ungrounded your fans stay on. Just ground it. They put it there for a reason.

mine is un-grounded and my fans operate properly. i dont think it was ever grounded in my car. it was like that when i went to put in my pfc and my car runs fine. so i left it. but it wouldnt hurt to ground it anyway.

i recently converted a new harness to a single turbo harness. the crank angle and knock sensors are shielded. the shields are connected to this ground.

the single wire with the female spade connector will trigger the fans on the 2nd speed setting when grounded . i rigged this up to the fog light switch on the center console. when i'm stuck in traffic and the temps starts to rise, i use the switch to trip the fans on.

But what did you connect it to? My car is hesitating at around 6000rpm so i have installed new wires to the CAS, but i dont know where to ground it. To the chassi or to the outer case on the PFC?

I hope that made any sense... Thanks.
