That's what 13b stands for. 13 Billion Miles.

Or 13 miles. I forget which one....

Theres a guy with the name of "146kfd", or something close to that. Anywho, he has/had around that many miles on his car, hence the name. Thats not very common though, usually they last around 100,000 miles or so. These are all stock motors though.

My old FD was modded a bit(DP, CB, Intake, SMIC, ECU) had 140K miles on the original motor. the guy that I sold it to still has the same motor and more mods. This was a year ago.

I had 147 K on my original. It was still running, but I just got it rebuilt. The builder said there was no major damage. All seals looked fine. Apparently the owners before me babied it!

Yea, 150k FD is still on his origanal motor, he is actually up to 161k now.

I think he has all the reliability mods + cat-back and intake.

I know "150kFd" personally. AFAIK, he only has an aftermarket exhaust as any kind of mod and that's it. The vacuum lines he re-did just last year; everything else is stock - even has the stock pre-cat!

Believe his high mileage and engine longevity is due to freeway driving. He's driven his FD all over the country. If you think about it, no/low boost, and cool air @ freeway speeds keeping your water temps. low will not stress your engine anywhere as much as stop-and-go city driving.

I now have 165,121mi
Hey Gil, I did put a downpipe in. It seems in my case that without boost/detonation issues or heat/coolant seal issues that the pineapple itself is a very simple and durable piece of machinery. However, all the ancilliary parts outside of the motor seem to fail sooner.....I've replaced: wiring harness, vac lines, primary injectors, FPD, acv, radiator/hoses, dumped AC and PS, and two AT's in favor of 5spd, and entire exhaust.
I can say that it was babied while the AT was in, but for the last couple years with the manual it has not.
I'd like to see 200k but I'm not gonna take it easy just to get there
