hmmm, i think one of my fd's will take the cake on this one. It was driven by my father, original owner, 100% stock, and it went out at 194,xxx. It would have gone a little longer and i would have loved to have it make 200,000 too but the stock radiator cracked, overheated, and took the coolant seals. It went through 3 clutches in that time as the only major repair, but the funny thing is he wasnt even that nuts or proactive about maintenance on it. Still had the original rubber sequential hoses when we pulled it ha ha

^ Very true. Sounds like that car was never abused. When you shut these engines down with them being extremely hot, thats what does most of the engine bay heat damage. My original engine went to 108k and the vacuum hoses were still semi soft. Keep the heat away and your rotary will live to fight another day.

Btw you would be surprised how long many of these cars drive around on 5psi and the owners don't have a clue. No boost gauge. They didn't buy it new and it always drove the way it drove.
Just think how long it might last if under boosted most of its life.

It's nice to think that these cars don't explode all the time. I feel like it had an effect on their resale value. In studying, it seems they are every bit as capable as a Toyota Supra but the values seem to be about 1/2 that.
