What's a good offer on a 3 rotor FD?

A guy locally is selling his 3 rotor FD. What will be a good offer for it? It was at 7 stock this year.. I have attached a few pics..

Mods:
3 rotor engine from Pettit w/stock re-worked twins
Rebuilt and ported

He told me the complete package was 16k including subframe and link ecu, wideband..
Also what kinda power will this get with the twins?

depends one went on ebay for 28k, its very expensive going through pettit, but you will know that they did a quality job and it was done right, IMO its worth the extra money knowing that.

That's just beautiful! If the entire car is what it looks like from those three pics, I'd probably pay upwards of 30k for it. But that's just me and I hope I'm not insulting anyone with that offer lol.

25k sounds fair. You can't compare a 20b with the rinky dink stock twins to a fully built single turbo one, so that seems to divide the field as far as pricing.

Talking Ive Seen It In Person And Know The Shop Who Built It!!!

haha ive seen this car in person!!! it was built by the owner a bit but then he towed down to autotech motorsports here in san diego to get it all done before seven stock, i had my car worked on at the shop too, they do pretty good work, the owner has his own 3-rotor fd and an rx8, they also built their own 23a 4-rotor fd, (not 26b)... i believe when i talked to my buddies at the shop they said the owner spent around 16k+ when all was said and done to get it running in time for seven stock... they did a lot of work on it down here, if you got to their website they have pics of this car in their customer's rides section... as for the price of the car id say 25-30k, but 25k sounds very fair... i know for a FACT that he spent 16k+ at the shop down here... autotech is known for their custom subframes for 20b's down here and their 4-rotor... their custom subframe sits 6-7 inches back into the firewall without cutting it, and 3-4 inches lower than the stock 13b-rew without steering bump and the shifter stays basically in the same position... they also appeared in the JDM magazine, "RX7 magazine," as well as a couple other magazines with their 4-rotor... they have them in their shop... so good luck with the offer man... keep us posted and let us know what goes on with the buy!!!

autotech motorsports

WOW! 25k for a professionally done 3-rotor?!
I wanted a stock FD as a project but maybe I'll just look into buying one already done. Can't beat that much car for that little price...

I would think 25K is a good price. It's not a professionally done car. If I follow this, the guy bought an engine and twins from Pettit and then installed it himself. He then had to have a shop finish/fix it up for him. No telling the quality of the work. I guess autotech would have checked it all out though. From the pics, I'm not all that impressed with the installation job.

Just my $.02 cents.

I would not spend 16K on a car to just turn around and sell it two months later. why is he selling?

I'd say 25-30k assuming everything is sorted out.

At around 15 PSI you'll be looking at about 375-400 hp at the wheels (plus or minus)

Max I could get out of the Pettit 20B setup was 400 RWHP at 14 PSI. Actually 12 PSI had the same results. The twin turbos ran out of air at anything above 12 PSI at the 5,500 RPM range.

but it's a professionally done three rotor, and you know that you are not being jerked, i'd pay the extra money for the assurance.
