What you think about NITROUS?

Hey everyone..

How doyou feel about adding Nitrous to your FD3S?
Has anyone put one in their car? if so
How did it go??
Is Nitrous ok to use with a Rotory engine??

I know you have to increase fuel to use Nitrous..

would a ECU upgrade like M2 or Pettite be ok to
use with Nitrous?? or would you ahve to get a
PFC or Haltech?

I already have CB, DP, INTAKE, SMIC, ECU upgrade on its way... Can't think of most economical way to
increase performance other than Nitrous..
New turbos or goign single turbo. Engine rebuild with Street port and polish cost to MUCH $$$$...

So what is your opinion?

You'll need an upgraded fuel pump. Read the thread below, testing was done on the zex kit.

Nitrous is for wusses(? is that a word)? Gain power like a man... Not to mention that if you're not careful with a FD, you'll likely destroy the engine in quick order.

It might be put to good use if you had a huge single to spool up. Other than that NAWWSS is for civics who can blow up their motor and mommy will pay for it.

Nos

NOS is great for drag only cars. If you have drag only car then you need an IC at all. Its touchy stuff if your setup isn't 100%

I'm sick of your "rikki" stuff.

Anyways, you should do a search on this topic..

but in general, it's ok, Make sure you have the fuel to back it up, and don't push more than a 55 shot, and run cold plugs.

Other than that, everythings fine.

Hmmmm

Is Nitrous that dangerous for the motor?

I guess if you pull up to a Car with similar Mods
but they got Nitrous. I guess you'll just S O L.

So anyone out there that had Nitros in their FD3S?

Is the Nitrous automatically sprayed??
If not.. when you spray, do you spray thru the whole,
gear, then let off between gears and spray again?

There is usually a valve on the bottle that has to be opended, an arming switch, and a wire that is tapped into the TPS. When armed it sprays when the TPS voltage is above 4.5vdc.

This means you need to make sure the TPS is adjusted properly.

No, this isn't America, it's the internet.

did I tell you not to say it? no, I just told you that it's annoying. And Im sure there are other that agree with me. So if you want to be someone that annoys other people, than go ahead and keep on saying your little made up word...whatever.

The guy didn't ask for your opinion. He asked how he could make it work. My answer was constructive...yours was not.

I've had a bad day, don't **** with me.

My God man....grow up.

Sorry guys.....it just hurts to read this crap sometimes. I promise to not do this again.

I caught the TPS thing es, Good info. As far as the mud-slinging... where did all this come from??? The rikki site is not just about rikkis, we have meet info, videos, pictures from us meeting up. Just because we laugh at a few riced out hondas doesnt mean we have no life. Everyone needs to lighten up, keep the forum for info and not arguments.

NOS

Nos is the name of a company not a product. NitrosOxide or No2

is the correct name.. I don't understand why people in the import sceen haven't understood this yet.

I would also like to note, that NitrosOxide is stupid for a daily driven street car as there should be no reason to ever have it on when driving on public streets...

Seems like alot of people are getting their panties in a wad over nothing. If you don't like the idea of it or lack the testicular fortitude to use it than fine. It takes a lot of skill to properly setup a system for a car, especially rotaries. You should appreciate people willing to put their cars on the line to test and see what our motors are capable of. Someone had to originally take the chance and upgrade the stock turbos to a larger single or go with a full open exhaust. I'm sure these people went through a few engines in the process but they paved the way and passed on the knowledge to the rest of us. Would you consider that to be cheating or being a pioneer?
