What would a 95 RX7 w/ 10k miles sell for?
I have a 95 RX7 with 10k miles and ready to sell it. I have no time to enjoy the car, since I am too busy w/ the work schedule. I have owned the car since '95 and owned a 93 300zxTT since then. I sold the 300zxtt about 5 months ago because of having too many cars. The same goes for the RX7. Now, I am trying to get a realistic price for this car.
The car is suited w/ an after market air filter and a RB catback. The catback is the stainless steel with a 4" opening. I've got lowered springs from RB which lowered the RX7 about 3/4" from the original spring setting. I own the factory 16" rims with about 5k miles wear on them. The car is currently sitting on 17" BBS rK w/ another 5k miles on it. I own a Petit DP which I bought from a group buy from this forum two years ago, but never had the time to install it. The RX7 never been abused or rained on. I gave away the Mazda cover to a local RX7 fan, since it was starting to get dry and fade (looking to get another cover soon). The car sits on carpet to prevent flat spots and dry rotting the rubber.
Hopefully, this thread will have some response, and I sorry for typing it so long. I am going to miss this car. I am from Memphis, TN and hardly anybody from this town might have seen the car since it never gets out much.

wow, sounds like it's in great condition, a very rare find. Wich model is it? Base, Touring or R2?
If it's a non-base model I'd say around the neighborhood of $26k.
A friend (and fellow boardmember here) just tried to sell his 93' with 13k miles on it. he put it on ebay but only got bids up to $22k for it. It did not sell and he still has it.
It's a special car and does require a special buyer. I'd say It'll take some time and some good advertising. A 1 week auction on ebay is probably not the best way to go. Try dupont registry or something. I think you'd have a better chance if you put an original catback on and advertised it as Bone Stock. The K&N should not offend anyone tho.

A similar model was listed in AUTOWEEK earlier in the year, asking price was $30K, which is way too high.
I'd say ask for $27K, take no less than $24,500 if it was me.
It sounds like you are in no big rush to sell, which gives you the advantage, YOU can pick the right buyer.
If you can hang onto that baby for another 10 years, you could likely get TWICE that price! FDs are at that stage where they are in a sort of limbo. I think that the time is coming soon when pristine examples like yours (as it sounds) will bear a premium price.

that's a pretty busy guy. I bought mine '94 with 19k miles in probably not as good as condition as yours for $23.8 had the vacuum job done, downpipe, boost guage, and exhaust. I don't think anyone would be offended with an exhaust.
I think with these cars even an aftermarket smic is justified.

Thanks guys for the reply. The car is the base model w/ PEP options. It's got the rear spoiler installed at the time of puchase. I'll get the pictures on here by tomorrow. The figures do sound great. And, I like Bajaman's comment about the future resale 10 years down the rode.
Thanks again.

A Supra would also be a nice addition to a (poor mans)high performance stable.
I would say your car is worth $25k at the minimum.
Lets see those pics!
