like it said, what do high air temps do to the engine. Does it just rob u of horsepower? I am talking about temps from 60-70c

Robs you of valuable power. Increases the risk of detonation. Sounds like your intercooler is letting you down. Hows the ducting? Are those mobile temps or idle?

Detonation is the big problem. If you're running a stock intercooler, and upgrade would be a great idea. Either that and/or water injection to cool down the intake charge.

We had a stock FD on the dyno a few weeks ago during the Kan tuning and it was getting 60 degree intake temps on dyno pulls. Steve would put water on it to cool it down to finish the tune. But, the stock intercooler is just in a horrible spot in general. A larget SMIC or FMIC would make a world of difference.
