what upgrades do i need next?

Im on a mission to run a high 7 in the 1/8th mile since there are no good 1/4 mile tracks around here except in LA (im in san diego). here's the story first I started with just an exhaust and some teins and ran a best 9.2 on some shitty 225 federalies tires(came with the car). I upgraded to a downpipe, midpipe, intake and apex power fc tuned for those bolt ons and ran a best 8.7 still on the same shitty tires. Now I have a smic and hks evc IV boost controller waiting to be installed and some slicks coming soon. well I want to know how much boost I can run without running out of fuel or basically blowing the motor? my frined told me not to go over 12psi with the boost controller because his fuel pump went out and now his car has been sitting for months with a blown motor. so can anybody help me out and give me a list of some upgrades I should do to still keep my motor running? also i there any way I can break the 7's barrier with these mods and slicks?

what kind of slicks? Drag radials? Wrinkle walls? I think you might break something like clutch, diff, axles, ppf when you get into the higher boost/hp realm

well your fuel system wont safelly support more than 13-14 psi. And only that high for short periods of time like 1/4 mile runs etc. I suggest you best your time with some good traction then go from there. I would buy Mickey Thompson ET Streets. They are DOT legal but basically wrinkle wall slicks with some grooves for the DOT stamp of approval. You cant really drive to the track with them though. If you need to drive to the track get some BFG Drag radials. Nitto 555R drag radials or the like. The great part about Mickey Thompsons is they dont allow wheel hop like hard sidewall tires do. So at least eliminating broken diffs Power Plant frames etc due to wheel hop. Also they grab better than typical drag radials. Launch hard. Dont slip the clutch. Slipping the clutch will fry the disc. Glaze it over and it will be junk. Launch at high RPMS pop the clutch off the line and hold on. Make sure you heat up the tires for at least 10-15 seconds before your run with a decent burnout. Street tires dont need a burnout but drag radials and slicks do.

Use your power fc commander to find out your peak injector duty cycle after revving out third gear. If you're over 90%, it's prolly time for new injectors. I would get a pump before injectors.

Here's an upgrade for you: weight reduction . Make like the Honda boys and take out your subwoofer, passenger seat, spare, glovebox contents, etc. Hell, do like I did and remove your p/s and a/c .

Be careful man, I see a cracked PPF in your future.....
