They are in production and you can order them (at least in Japan):
Google Translate
If I read it right, for a new set (no trade in of yours), the cost is around $1,3000. If you send in yours, it's around $750. Or it might be $750 for a set from their used OEM stock.
They also have a Youtube channel so you can see the light output for yourself:
Would be interesting to see this on a sunny day. Regardless, not my cup of tea as they are individual LEDs.

The first picture looks different from the ones that are on the yellow FD.
Am I the only one who is noticing that? The first one, the lights appear to be more solid, but on the yellow FD the LED's look all individualized again. >_<
Yeah...I'm not a fan of the individualized LED bulbs, either.

If you like the individual LED look, the pics are nice. The car is really nice BTW.
LEDs do funky things in pics though so take one at night with the brake lights on and that way you can compare the brightness to the center OEM lights. The daytime pics will also help quite a bit. I'd suggest you leave one side "OEM" so you can compare the brightness. Also take one from a bit of an angle as a lot of LEDs have a very narrow viewing angle.
And if you'd like, I have some light brightness testing equipment and am happy to test one of your lights as compared to the stock setup. That's the best way to determine the level of the light output. I already have the numbers for the stock or 99 spec taillights.

^ Pic #1 above shows exactly what I referred to regarding the angle of the LEDs. See the difference in light output from the left versus the right? The left is quite a bit dimmer than the right and that is with just a slight shift to the right. That means the LEDs used have a very low angle of view, translating into a big loss of light when you are not directly looking at them.
I'd also guess by looking at the same pic, the light output of these will be questionable during the day.
Could be wrong though so looking forward to seeing pics during the day. Again, a great comparison would be to leave one side stock and then show the pics.
