How big drivers can you fit into the fd3s?
I am 198cm(6' 6") and 85kg(187 lbs), do I fit the rx-7?

Dale Clark is about 7'10 J/k He is about your size and drives his fd a good bit. I would make sure you get a non sunroof model however. Im 6'1 about 200lbs and once in the car I am decently comfortable. Getting in and out is a different story.

Haha, that's me

I'm 6'6", 190 pounds, and fit great. Sunroof models are too tight for headroom for me - I can fit in one and drive it, but I wouldn't buy one for my personal car.

You should be fine. There's much more room in there than you'd think.

Dale

6' 0.34" / 241.16lbs @ 10% body fat. I fit perfectly fine, no high issues, my back kind of fits in the seat (still very comfortable), no space issues. However some of my taller friends have not being able to even get inside the car.

Have you tried wearing a helmet in a fd with the seat setup for racing? Once I straighten the rear of the seat up where I have the best view point of the front of the car/bumper, a helmet makes a Sunroof car just ridiculous for me.

I am around 6' and my legs hit the steering wheel a little with the seat all the way back. Long legs and it is a r1 model so no wheel adjustment and you should see my friends get in the passenger seat one is like 250 and 6'5" think my tires wore a little uneven that night. Just depend on your build but nothing a racing seat wont fix. You best bet is a something without a sunroof and with steering wheel adjustment.

I'm 6'4" 200 and fit fine, but my brothers are 6'7" 260 and 6'8" 200 and don't fit very well at all. I think the first problem that you would run into would be the steering wheel. You are just gonna have to get in one and find out.

it really all depends where your height is. if you're all legs like me you should be fine if the seats all the way back. I'm 6'6" / 185 and am fine in a touring even with a helmet.

alot of people give their weight when talking about fitting, but honestly for anyone 6' or more, your not gonna be close enough to the wheel for it to matter, imo.

I think weight makes a lot of difference in how you fit.

Yeah, I'm right in there with you guys. 6' 215 and once I'm in it's great but getting out sucks. If i want to whip into a turn I have to spread my legs just a tad. Overall, love the car.

Whee thanks for all the fast answers. There is a rx-7 coming to the country in a couple weeks so I will go and test sit that one. I am pretty much legs so it should be fine.

About getting in and out, its all about experience. Earlier I had a AC cobra replica and after a while I had no prolems getting in and out, while firsttimers where strugling no matter their length

I think weight is important as it gives you some picture what frame the otherone is.

But keep the info coming!

Damn you people are giants!!! LOL jk

Im only 5'9 and i find myself having a hard time getting in and out. I sometimes use the door sills as extra leverage when getting out lol

related: has anyone come up with a slick (hopefully premade) set of brackets to mount a race seat and still retain the seat sliders?

BTW: If I can fit in a NA Miata and a RX-8 with a sunroof, think I'll fit in the FD?
