(1) define 'bumper lights.'
(2) 30k? why not 75 gazillion-k?
(3) please refrain from posting duplicate threads. It annoys me that I have to waste the time to delete them.

thanks.

on my rx7 i have the 99 spec bumper so i have the 99 spec lights and i wanted to get hids for them but i dont know what size they are. and what i mean by the bumper lights is the ones that sit on the bumper not the one that pops up. i like the 30k because they are the deep blue color

hmm.... if you find out i would be interested because somewhere on my mile long list of mods there is an HID kit.

im pretty sure that the 92-2002 bulbs are the same size. i have replica 99 lights that are made to fit the 99 bulbs, i think the only thing that is different is the bulb housing (what the bulb connects to) the bulb housing is notched different than the s6 and s7 but are virtually identical. to make mine fit i just took 15 minutes with a dremmel tool.

Getting 194 series LEDs is much easier as they're plug and play.

HIDs are better suited to the headlights..... I have seen HID parking lights on a 99 bumper, but they were custom made and not exactly cheap.

one thing i would defiantly worry about is the surface temperature of the bulbs, if they are HIDs they could melt the plastic housings. if i were you just get some different colored lights to match your HID headlights (if thats what look your going for) that run at the same temp as the stock bulbs

The Kelvin rating refers to the color...... HIDs run cooler than conventional Halogens.

oh ok, thanks for the correction. so where could i get some good replacement bulbs that would match the color of HIDs, i prefer the lighter blue like 8-12k. you cant have some super bright blue HIDs like the 30k the OP mentioned, and then below it have some dull yellow bumper lights, it just looks dodgey and cheap. so if there are bulbs (or really bright LEDs) i would love to get my hands on them

For the front marker lights I personally like this style in cool white (9500K):

^ I personally had bad luck with superbrightleds, I switched out my interior lights on an old car I had, and after a month they all started blinking and dying Tried again and same thing happened after another month or so

Youngx7, posting ebay links is against forum rules, just like posting FS ads in the tech section are against forum rules. I say again, go back and re-read all of the forum rules and do not post again until you have done so. Thanks.
