What should i do about my broken exhaust temp sensor?!

Hey guys,

So im feeling pretty good right now. In 4 hours i managed to remove the front and rear subframe/classify and sort all of the parts. Concidering this was my first time doing any brake/suspension work to my FD i am pretty stoked. All i can say is WOW, i absolutely love working on the FD, the car works with you and everything is elegantly simple and well engineered.

So while i was under the car the dangling exhaust temp sensor wire reminded me that i had broken its better half during exhaust removal...

What should i do with this? I am going to be running the PFC, so i doubt i need it. However can i delete it?

Thanks,

=Ben

Hey I have the same problem. It broke when I changed the Cat. Oh ya my RX7 is a JDM so it was actually install right into the original Cat. My mechanic said just tuck it under the heat sheild it doesn't have to be drilled into the new Cat. Does that sound right? Also since the sensor is broken the heat light is always on now. Should I just take it out or replace it. I too plan on getting a Power FC soon and I believe it uses the heat light as a warning light so will this affect it.

If you are running PFC don't worry about it at all. In fact in most people's EXH overheat light doesn't even work with PFC.

So i took my seats out and pulled my carpet back just to have a look at the chassis... And at the same time i unplugged the exhaust temp sensor connector under the drivers seat. Just filled the stock grommet full of black polyurathane, should be good to go!
