What part of suspension is bad?
On a smooth, flat road it handles great. If I hit a patch that's very bumpy, has cracks filled, or is just plain rough the car is all over the road. Every bump or dip will make it jerk hard to the left or right. If it's on the freeway it's even worse flying back and forth and a real trial to stay in your lane. It's like the steering wheel has a mind of it's own. And by the time I'm done with a 20min+ trip my *** is sore from all the damn bouncing up and down. I've never experienced this with any car (mostly I mean the jerking back and forth) so my guesses would be bushings, toe links, or something, maybe shocks? But I really have no clue so can anyone point me in the right direction? The whole suspension is original so I plan to replace everything anyway... I'd just like some help with what causes this and I'll start the replacing with those parts first. TIA
Suppose I could ask rzograbian. It was his car before me. I doubt it's been done in a while. It DOES have a salvaged title, but according to the carfax report the repairs, (which were done very well) were a couple of years ago. As long as the road isn't horribly bumpy it rides straight as an arrow. Would the bad bushings be causing my sore *** or the jerking to either side when you hit really bumpy stuff? Suspensions are something I really don't understand well, so the purpose of those bushings is kinda beyond my knowledge.
