What part is this? (power window related)

When you remove the plastic cover for the power window control area on the drivers side door

(the one with 3 buttons to lower/raise the windows for drivers and passegner side plus the window lock feature)

What is the piece of equipment, the thing that looks like a computer chip underneath it?

mine is broken and i need to purchase one...

does anyone know how much it costs?

Likely the circuit for the one-touch opening feature. You'll have to replace the entire switch as a unit, unfortunately.

Try Fritz Flynn or Jeff Hoskinson (turbojeff).

The white switch bodies can actually be taken apart and the contacts cleaned. Haven't tried and FD switch, but it's VERY similar to the '89-91 FC switch, which I have taken apart. It wouldn't be hard to clean up the contacts and get it working well again.

Unless the switch is physically broken .

Yeah, if it's melted, you need a new switch. Not sure what they run new, but shouldn't be SUPER hard to find used. PM Fritz Flynn and see what he's got.

BUT, the white plastic things can be popped open to reveal the "tracks" that the sliders ride on. The metal contacts in there get corroded, and switch no workie.
