What order of gauges?

I'm wondering what you guys suggest the order or importance of gauges should be. Other than boost, what other gauges should come first? I'm thinking water temp, EGT and fuel pressure?

Why would you say EGT is important?? I would think boost, water temp, oil temp.

Because I've heard that EGT allows you to better understand whether the engine is running rich or lean...Depending on the temperature?

Some say EGT is one of the most important and some say it is the least. I would assume it depends on how modified your FD is. The way i think about it is, I have a gauge for everything i've changed or messed with in my car. Like a Custom oil cooler set up so i put a oil temp in there and would of put oil press if i didnt already have a half way decent one. I also have all SS fuel lines, pump and injectors, so i have a fuel press gauges and so forth. But beyond getting a boost gauge and water temp i think the order will very from car to car.

Luke that's good advice...I think that makes sense to get a gauge for anything that you modify. Plus water temp to keep an eye on things and I guess any other gauges never hurt :P

I say boost and water temp to start out. Boost to of course make sure you're not geting any creep and to also make sure the turbo system is in good working order. Water temp to keep track of the cooling system (one of the shortcomings of the FD) so you know something is going on before it does severe damage.

boost and water temp is just about the only guage that will save you from anything. Buy the time you exhuast heated up and send a signal to the guage would be too late. Oil temp would be 3rd choice. Also the before and after intercooler temp guage would be nice form spa tech. Or what about the Volt meter guage from auto meter .
