What need to be done in 60000 miles service?

just bought my used FD, and the x-owner did not do the 60000 miles service.

I am wondering what need to be done?

and I am wondering when the water pump and drivebelt need to be replaced.

Honestly man, I would perform *all* the maintenance. You have to operate under the assumption that it wasn't performed properly in the past. Here is what I recommend you have done:

New spark plugs and plug wires
New fuel filter
flush coolant
flush tranny fluid and replace with synthetic
flush diff fluid and replace with synthetic
oil and filter change
check the color of your brake fluid in the master cylinder and if it looks dirty, flush that as well.

A while back Ray at Malloy Mazda was selling a 'tune up' kit which had plugs, wires, oil filter and fuel filter for pretty damn cheap. his # is 888 533 3400.

water pumps are rather reliable in these cars. Change the belt if it has any visible defects (cracks, dry rotted teeth, etc.).

At 60k, I'd change the engine, tranny, suspension, and maybe the wiring harness too.

Changing the belts and water pump isn't a bad idea. Just don't mess with the timing belt. <----Now I'm kidding
