What to look out for in a 1993-94?

I am about to buy either a 1993 or 1994 RX-7. I want the car primarilly for highway use so I am thinking the Tour model with an automatic transmission would best serve my needs. I figured it would make sense to ask the experts--the people who currently own these cars themselves--what I need to look out for. Are there some problems which seem to crop up in these cars? What is the life of these engines (mileage) and how expensive is it to have the engines rebuilt or replaced? Will I give up much in the way of performance with an automatic? How much better is the ride between the 1993 and 1994 (I understand that was one of the "enhancement" in 1994)? And anything else you would tell someone to look out for? Thanks in advance for your time in reading this message and replying. My e-mail address is judd@juddbankert.com.
