what level of redline to use?
hey,
i was wondering what kind of redline oil you all use in your rx-7's? I saw that on the M2 site they sell redline 10w40. I was thinking about ordering some till i saw they also sell 10w40 under the "WRX" section. I just thought that RX-7's would probably use a different oil. Maybe not. Tell me what you think.THanks.

I've talked to both Red Line and Royal Purple and they recomend 10w-30 as does the manual. Race 50 and Protek-R or RP 2 stroke premix recomended for track racing.
I use 4 qts 10w-30 & 1qt race 50 mixed (Royal Purple) and Mobil 1 filter.
If you are still unsure, contact Pettit Racing and Tri-Point. Both companies still race rotaries professionally.

i use 20W50 personally as it's a tad thicker, and i run a few ounces of marvel mystery oil in there.
I'd look into amsoil if you can find it. It's the best oil IMHO.

Amsoil is expensive but supposedly the best. Also it's a little expensive but I ran into a dealer who was going to give me a case at wholesaler price, but I forgot exactly how much it was. At any rate it was a decent deal at wholesaler price.
