I am buying a used intake from a friend and he doesnt know what kind it is? It really doesnt matter to me but I would like to know. Also the stock air box has 4 3/4 hoses on it. A smog pump, 2 bov and the 4 one I dont know. That 4 one doesnt run in to this used air intake at all can i eliminate that hose or should I buy a small K&N filter?

 

 

A pic of the intakes would help....and that hose goes nowhere, just plug the hole on the airbox

to answer your question, you can elimate the 4th one its the bov and just vent it to the atmosphere.

I know one is to smog pump, 2 are for the BOV and one that is just a hose that doesnt go any way but the hose that is on the to right back side i dont no what it is for. The line runs from the box to the back of the fire wall then runs it runs under the upper intake manifold. From there I dont know I dont know.
