What the hell do I block off?
What the hell do I block off?
I just got the block off plates. I'm taking the air pump out so I took out the ACV blocked and the lines leading to the airpump. That used up 2 plates. Can someone tell me what else do I block off.
Oh, there are 3 connectors coming out from the ACV. Do I need to put resisters on them?

Not trying to be too much of a smart ***, but match the shapes of the block off plates with the shapes of the various components. Didn't you ever play that game when you were a baby, where you had to put the triangle block in the triangle hole, the round block in the round hole.......
Hehehehe, sorry, but I just had to say it.
As for the plugs, on the ACV, I un-screwed the various sensors out of the ACV body and kept them connected. The better way probably would be to use the resistors. But on the other hand, I think it depends on what computer you have. I've been told that if you have the PowerFC, you don't even need the resistors but I can NOT confirm that.

I simply left those connectors unplugged and did not get any "check engine" light.
You might as well block off the EGR while you are at it, because I think it needs the ACV to do anything useful.
