My transmission in my 93 says "FB" in big grease pencil letters on the bellhousing I think. I wouldn't worry about it. I also used to have an 87 TII and it frequently had parts with "FB-xxxxx" type of stuff on various parts.

Uh oh. You don't supposed this means that ... An FD is just an FB with a different body on it!?

I went to the basement and looked at my tranny... (out for a 5th gear swapout)... I have the FB sticker too. You're OK.

Hell...I just got back from the middle of my brake job. Didn't get to finish...and now I have to wait till Wednseday to finish it.

Anyways..I've got a oil leak somewhere. I knew I had it..but today I took a pretty good picture of it.

It's pretty nasty.

It's gonna be a mess to clean up, but I'm going to wait until the rebuild to touch up. Won't make any sense to do it now.

Arrow Yuck!!

Looks like mine, probably a motor mount leak, that is what I seem to have also. Anyone know the best way to re-seal around those darn motor mounts by the pan that keep leaking without taking the motor out??

Other then that, you probably need to get that nasty pre-cat out of your car too before it catches on fire!!

Just for sayings sake mine was leaking from the secondary turbo-housing gasket, rear main seal, P/S rack boot... many leaks for a small engine... I say degrease, pressure wash, wait, look

Er..know any places in WA that will let you pressure wash the oil off the underside of a car?

I am in the "Tree-Hugger" state...not that there's anything wrong with that.

I have a leak too I notice it smokes under the hood when runnning the engine hard, after about 5000 rpms could this be a secondary turbo-housing gasket? Is that what yours was doing?
