If your going to get a vented hood, now is the time.

I had that happen to me in my first car, freaked me out.

make sure to buy hoodpins for yoru aftermarket hood. its too bad that you have to be the posterboy for why even stock hoods need hood pins. did you try to jump on the hood and hit it with a hammer to get it kinda back in to shape so you could at least drive with it? it is aluminum so it should bend pretty easily. some bondo and paint could hold you over till you get another hood.

P.S. i suggest scoot when you go with an aftermarket one

Whe the previous owner had my car, the hood latch broke off too. Wierd ****.

Anyways, it has been welded now for awhile and no problems except for the reverse dent it left when it broke.

I suggest going for one with more venting, such as one of the VIS knockoffs of everybody elses' designs. Other options are buying one of AitHun's hoods, one from Rotary Extreme, RX7Store.net, or ebay. There are other places that sell them at reasonable prices though I can't list exactly where. Also, be glad you have options and don't have to put a replacement from the factory, they cost like $800 plus painting and shipping (I know cuz someone hit me while I was stopped and put a dent in mine, fortunately he was insured and accepted right away that it was his fault.) Good luck, Josh

looks like a mazdaspeed replica. are the vents functional or just for looks? id make sure you find one that has functional vents if your having overheating problems.
