What is it gonna Take?!

hey guys, will i poured in about 3 litres of Methyl Hydrate with a little less than a half a tank of gas and i still failed air care by a tad bit. I failed the Hydro Carbons.
Airpump is connected bla bla bla, Main cat in placewhat might need to be tweaked that is causing the hydro carbon to fail the car? by the way i didnt disconnect the ypipe boost hose, I am wondering if i disconnected the Boost the car would have passed, any suggestions?

if you wire the waste gate open, you're going to get worse emmissions.

Have you tried replacing the O2 sensor?

No i dont have the waste gate wired open, and no i havent replaced the O2 Sensor. I am wondering if maybe because i had the boost hose connected that it failed a bit due to the fact the car runs very rich under boost, again i did tell the guy not to boost during the acceleration, but i did see the car get up to about 4 pounds under there acceleration tests. Any other causes of High Hydro Carbon readings?

The stock airpump cuts off after 3000 rpm IIRC. If your cat is still good, a potental solution would be to hook up an electric airpump directly to the cat. With the electric airpump running constantly during the emmissions test, it should help pump enough air so that the cat burns cleanly enough to pass (in addition to the methyl hydrate) even when reving past 3000 rpm.

You don't rev past 3000 rpm during an emissions test!

In my state, they used to put your car on a dyno and drive it up to 60+mph. During this time period my car would not pass. Luckily now they only test cars that are OBDII, so I am exempt from any further testing.

I never did pass, I just found a different way to register the car.
