The Apexi n1 Dual looks outstanding on an FD...until you start it. If you have a midpipe, then do yourself a favor and go buy some earplugs. If you have a catalytic conver/hi flow cat, then don't worry. It'll sound good with the cat in.

yea, i still have the stock cats. i just don't want to be like those civic guys that have a loud as **** exhaust that doesn't do anything performance wise...i want show AND go. it's sitting it my living room right now and yup, it looks mean, like shotgun barrels.

Well then ttb, you'll be just fine. They sound loud, but ricer loud. They're a good deep sound with the cats. Definitely keep them if you're going to keep your catalytic converter.

Comparitively, Jspec, is the N1 single bearable with the stock main cat? Im running a DP, and wanna swap out my SP exhaust. The duals look nice, but i heard they dont fit with the RE Amemiya rear diffusers, but the N1 does.

I know everyone that has an N1 runs an open exhaust, so they wont be able to tell me Have you ever heard an N1 with the cats AND baffle installed?

You know, I forgot to add "not"...Let me re-frase my sentence, "They sound loud, but NOT ricer loud."

I have never heard the N1 single. If the sound is comparitable to the N1 dual, then you'll have no problem with a catalytic converter....especially if you have a baffle inside.

Hope this helps,

I have an n1 single tip with an hks downpipe and the main cat still on, and I love the sound. To sum it up, it rumbles at idle like a monster, it's deep and throaty at normal driving (and quiet too if you are good with the accelerator, perfect for cop situations), the best part is the 3-2 downshift under high rpm, it scares the **** out of even the 2JZ boys...screams like it's being raped

I have the n1dual on my car. I still have my cat on. I just use the n1 with a downpipe. I personally think it's one ofth ebetterr sounding exhausts. I have heard people dump all over the n1 dual for it being to loud. I don't know what the hell that is all about. It is no louder than most aftermarket stuff. It just has a deeper, less hummy sound. I'm thinking after you get it installed your gonna love it. I do.

I think when people say it sound like ****, they're referring to it with a midpipe. Dragon was the first to get this exhaust, and I could not believe how much louder his car became when he added this. It's LOUD without a catalytic converter.

its loud...but it sounds tough...the drone can be a bit much over long drives.

it MELTED the hell out of my bumper...you may want to find some sort of hanger extension so that it hangs an inch lower...my bumper got cooked.

it looks nice....but the bumper thing sux.
