what exactly are pillow mounts?

I have been looking at springs/struts vs. coilovers at Jason's site...

what exactly are pillow mounts, & what do they do?

instead of the stock upper spring seat that was a rubber bushing on the spring and the shock where it bolts up to this springs seat, the PB give you an aftermarket spring seat and no rubber bushings so you will hear more noise from the suspenshion and it will be a little bumpier. the PB help keep the camber of the tire in the corner more precise thus improving handling. instead of that rubber bushing that attaches to the shock u now have a pillow ball that has almost no play compared to the squishy stock rubber piece.
