I was invited to this party a little late - but...

Ahhhh... big deal. At least as many factory stock LS1 f-bodies have run under 13.0 as have factory stock FD's run under 13.3.

It's that whole "highly respected" thing that had me going. No one on this thread seems to know who he is and he's done everything but earn my respect on here (although I'm sure that doesn't bother him too much since I'm new and I can't possibly know too much about anything).

That's right man, keep "not answering" the questions.

So again, do you believe it?

Again, I never meant to imply you said anything you didn't say. I know you did claim high 13's on average and mid 13's with a good driver ... I completely agree with that assessment.

Chris
i think a bone stock RX7 that is operating within the specs the factory designed the car for is about as likely to run a 13.2 as a stock LS1 car running 12's bonestock while within the specs GM Designed the car for

I hope I am clear.

Once again, I will extend you the courtesy of answering your question ... again. Your 13.3@105mph does not add up to the 2.2 60' time. You have a bone stock 12 second RX7 with a bit better launch. I believe I've held off on this long enough, but since you can't argue any of my points other than to tell me the theory of bogging and powerband I'm going to have to raise this ...

b.s on 13.3@105 with a 2.2 60' time.

I know who he is, I have his products on my car, I know he has run 10's in his car, I know he has raced (and done well) in the One Lap of America.
Since you seem to know so much, and prove everthing so well, maybe you should know this???

So what you're telling me is that 13.3@105 with a 2.2 60' time makes sense to you? If you answer yes, make sure you answer yes to the next question too ... have you ever drag raced before? While we're at it, you think RX7's "can" run 12's bone stock?

No he didn't say that. He said he ran a 12.6 with a crush bent 3" pipe replacing the main cat and muffler. The precat was perfectly fine. Btw that was the Oct 9th 12.6 timeslip.

A happy day : )

How about you, does the timeslip make sense to you? The only argument I'm hearing is people getting defensive, but no one actually seems to be backing his times up.

Wow - that will mess up your average!

And you run .5-.6 r/t on average eh?

So... how many .5-.6 r/t's have you ran to make that your "average"?

No I did not. The only thing I can think of is a thread I made after my oct 26 race where some guy with a supposed bone stock ws6 towed his car in a trailer, ran a 12.6 @ 116 and then broke his axle and claimed his car was stock. I made some sarcastic remarks, BUT I never, ever said I believe a 12 second timeslip from a bone stock SS/Z28/WS6.

I have spent the last 9 months being a troll on LS1.com and I earned quite a rep. I'm not about to throw it all away.

It doesn't have to make sense to me. I could really care less either way.
And you bring up a good point, sometimes I forget why I have the battery cut off switch, rollbar, S2000 helmet, among other things.
And yes, I happen to know for a fact that RX-7's can run 12's bone stock.
2000 RX-7

haha! caught me! When I said my average RT is between .50 and .60 I meant my average RT not including my RT less than .50 or more than .60.

Make sense?

You bounce around so much I never know what you're saying. LS1's can and have run 12's ... quite a few of them, not just in magazine articles either. Go check out our 1/4 mile section, put a post up asking who's run a stock 12. Again, this is not the point of this thread, but I know how you work now. The thread starts to not go your way so you switch the subject.

As for RX7's running 13.2's or 13.3's ... look at the first few people on this thread ... none of them said anything about times even in the ballpark of 13.3. I believe mid 13's (13.5 with a 1.8 60' ... that I believe). 13.3@105 with a 2.2 60' ... that I do not believe and if you sat down and thought about it you probably wouldn't believe it either. If it was a 13.3@105 with a 1.8 60' I be a lot more willing to accept it, unforutantely as the numbers sit now, they do not make any sense.

Was this 13.3 run in a 2000 RX7? No? Yeah, thanks for coming out. If everyone made a point the way you do arguing wouldn't even be a challenge.

It doesn't need to make sense to you? That's great ... really.

Chris, your friends on LS1.com can say they run 12's bone stock till they are blue in the fact I just don't buy it.

Again, I'm WAITING for you to show where I said LS1 cars can run 12's stock or I'd like you to retract your statement.

Your claimage (omg talking like bush) that I said LS1 Fbodys CAN run 12's damages my repuation as a troll on your forum. I want proof or a retraction on both rx7club.com and LSLost.com.

Have a nice day.
