what does full coverage cover?

okay, late fri night, after being the nice guy that I am and going out of the way to give a guy a ride home from my roommate's work(he bartends) after I swung in after a quasi-date ended (girl I have known/kind liked forever, haven't seen in a while), and am driving home, lightly sprinkling, when about to go onto the highway I get cut off, brake to avoid a collision, end up backward jammed up onto the concrete embankment. Pulled my fd off of it (which I've had 2 AND A HALF F'N WEEKS) and realized that the other driver didnt know/care and went on his way. Thank god I havent installed any of my new mods I just bought. bad scrape/dent in rear passenger side bumper, but juts in that piece, it doesnt extend to the quarterpanel...muffler tips bent/torn, pushed up into the bottom of the bumper, and the insides of both rear rims are chipped so the rear tires cant hold a seal. Tomorrow morning I find it there is anything else. If there isnt, then its not that bad, shouldnt take too long, I pay an ungodly interest amount to have full coverage on a 93 FD being single, male, and under 25. Sorry to take so long to set it up, but here's the question...When this happened, after I parked my car on the 1st sisestreet, I was looking at everything, and later noticed my Racing Beat front air dam wasnt on. I walked back to where it happened, and sure enough, off to the side, scraped to hell and snapped in half. my deductible is 250 thank god, but will it include that or am I out another 250-300 or so replacing it and painting a new one? this sucks.....

well it depends on who you go through and what you mean by full coverage. uninsured motorists should cover this. it actually happened to my little brother about two months ago. someone came straight across four lanes and would have t boned my brother had he not reacted the way he did. he swerved to be hit and instead spun half way down the street before hitting the curb at about 20mph, hitting a no parking sign, and landing. there was a nice patron who stopped to verify everything to the cops. the other drive, granted they ever find him, yeah right, was charged with hit and run. being that it was not my brothers fault and he was avoiding an accident nothing goes against him. yes, you still have to pay your deductible and yes, insurance should cover it. they may never catch the idiot who did this to you but be sure to tell the insurance company what happened and probably contact the police. it may be too late for the cops though. be sure to note EVERYTHING that was damaged on your car. remember, most stock parts are worth more than aftermarket. front bumper from the factory, or even a used one through insurance vendors are not cheap. they will more in likely pro rate everything since it was not brand new, but you will get a nice sum out of it. like you said, you have more parts that you were to put on. good thing oyu didnt. now you can show your adjuster all the damage done to your car, they will cut you a check and you can put the aftermarket stuff on. you will be ahead none the less. oops, im going on too long.

I was driving alone (2 minutes before I had dropped that guy off... lmost had a witness...) but I already called my insurance and its already at an approved shop meaning they can get to work intead of waiting 3-5 days for an adjuster to show up. Tomorrow morn I should know whats up, I know everything on the car that got damaged will get fixed, I was just wondering about that piece....since I have to take it to them (its in my roommate's trunk, the heavy dirt/concrete scrapes should be ample evidence it was in the accident too...)
what really sucks *** is that this falls under a "phantom driver" clause and already insane rate is going to increase....

Iam an insurance agent and I can tell you that some companies will cover it and some companies will tell you that they insured a RX7 with stock front air damn not a racing beat air damn. So if its in your contract saying it protects "Extra Equipment" for a lack of better word then they will pay for it.
