What do you use to cut and make Steel line work?
I'm having trouble getting the damn lines to go into the fittings... what can I use to get this going faster...? All I have to cut it is a dremil tool w/ a cutting disk.. my tin snips won't even cut it.
Thanks,
Ryker

I just used some heavy duty tape and a table saw and things work out fine with -4 -8 -10 -12 but -6 always just goes crazy on the ends. Trail and error is how recomend learning.

I think you're talking about AN fittings and SS hose?
To get the hose over the end of the fitting after you cut it can be hard. Take off the tape you used when cutting the hose. Twist the hose back and forth and work it on to the fitting. It takes some muscle to get it on but it will work. I never thought it would until I had someone show me but then its easy once you get a feel for it. Most manufacturers have instructions on their web site for the particular hose and fittings but it doesn't explain this step worth a damn.

Yea... I've got it down now... use the dremil to go around the braids and take them off.. then the hose... after that I use my fingernails to tuck the threads under the hose end of the fitting and screw that on... then use a phillipshead to align the hose inside the fitting... put some oil on the end of the fitting and pop it in... I've been using electrical tape b/c I did not have the strapping tape but I have some now...
-Does anyone know if there is room under the the uim and between that and the coil bracket? Or does anyone have some reccomendations on how to run the feed and return hoses?
Thanks,
Ryker

There are some pics of mine here. There are many ways to do it. http://ourworld.cs.com/_ht_a/talvendi/id19.htm
I run from the tank to a y-fitting then joins the returns with a tee before the regulator. Sequential simplification helps with room in there. I have some other pics I can e-mail you that might show some stuff better.
