What do you think about XS Power Turbos?
Cause man, SSAC really does have some good deals on turbo kits...and these stock seq. twins are givin' me nothin but boost problems. Stuck actuators, stuck flap, blah, whatever you wanna call it.
One second it's overboosting, next second it's underboosting, and causing compressor surge. It's fuct dup.
But that's not the point.
Here is a link to a cheap cheap turbo kit on Ebay, through SSAC. I know SSAC, the whole concept, and yes, I've heard bad things.
Do you guys know anyone running one of their turbo's? How much do they like/dislike it?
Is it good for the price, or will the housings fall apart on me in a week after boosting.
Here's a link to one of their turbo kits for FC's/FD's..

P.S. Would a Greddy down-pipe bolt up to any turbo that's already got the RX-7 "flange" on it, or...how does that work?

Haven't you only had your car for less than a week and you're already throwing in the towel.....I think you have a rough ownership experience ahead of you....
If your car is close to stock, it will cost at LEAST $5-6k to go single properly...

dude, just find a pair of efini's or rebuild the ones you have now. you won't have time to enjoy your car especially if you go for a single turbo. you'll have down time for months, unless you have a fat wallet. if you're moving up to an FD recently, a stock non-sequential will probably make you a happy man.

It's at Mazcare as we speak.
Compression did come out good.
They found a bunch of vacuum-line problems, and I'm gonna have them rip off the UIM to fix all the probs.
They feel confident that's my problem right there causing boost leaks/spikes/etc.
So, yeah.
I'm gonna have it fixed, and fixed right.
I can't afford a single turbo right now anyways, hehe, you're right.
I am/was just frustrated...so many unforseen problems so soon.
Can't blame me for just being frustrated.

If it boosts as it should when all is said and done, then sweet. I won't be doing power mods for a long time, mainly because I can't afford to, and I would like to have some time under my belt with just having owned the car, and learning all it's many different characteristics.
I might consider going non-sequential a little later down the road, if I feel there is really a reason to do it. We'll see about that.
I suppose the next step would be reliability mods like an alluminum AST, FMIC w/ hard piping, and Fluidyne Radiator.
Bleh for vacuum-lines!
