I would do the hose job with new, good silicone hose (there have been quite a few debates around here about viton vs. silicone, do a search and see what you find) I think Hose Techniques has a good kit out there for the 3rd gen (not sure - never used it) http://www.hosetechniques.com/

check out http://128bitencrypted.com/hosetechn...31914811035230 for a few good shots of the engine before and after using the HT kit

I'd like to upgrade all my coolant hoses with REAL steel braided lines/hoses some day. I have had two or three coolant hoses fail on me so far....

Does anyone know where to buy the real deal? And what sizes we need for the FD?

Summit racing:

The fuel lines are 6an and the coolant lines are 3/8 I.D.
The hoses used for the heater are 3/4 but there are only 2.

They also sell the kit this guy is trying to sell for 30$

Also remember stainless will wear a hole in anything if it is moving so use rubber heater hose inbetween.

It is an overlay kit. PEP boys for less than $99 if I'm not mistaken.

30$ they have chrome, purple, and blue

By the way putting the SS on the hose is ten times harder than you think it is.

Actually real SS lines are for high pressure. The kit talked about in this thread is for cheap looks.
