Look, we are not trying to go super el cheapo here, well I cant spak for everyone but Im not. Basically, what I am looking for is a V-Mount kit using a pre-existing radiator and IC (both aftermarket) rather than having to drop 2.5 grand on the full kit. And if I find somene that can make the braketing....guess what? Im going to need custom piping.
Also, trying to work on a pip extension to keep the air filter away from the engine.
Thanks for chiming in.

Well, there are too many people who are cutting corners in areas that need the most attention. Sorry I stepped on your toes and pissed you off. If you don't want to hear both sides , don't post.

What you are looking for isn't even possible. How the hell is someone going to develop brackets, ducting, rerouting of radiator hoses, etc., for the hundreds of possible permutations? And then you want them to sell you their solution for cheap? Back to reality, man.

If you don't want to pay Chuck for his v-mount, or buy the HKS one, then you'll have to either fab your own or find a local shop to do it.

Sbi, sorry to snap at you, I just get tired when you ask a question about if there is something out there that I couldnt find in search. So, again, sorry...

ryn...no need to flame. I was asking for those unfortunate souls who already have an IC but would wish to go v-mount without having to drop a perfectly good IC and Radiator.

How was I flaming? I was merely pointing out the reasons why what you are looking for doesn't exist.

Used intercoolers tend to hold their value very well. If you don't want to drop your existing equipment, then you're going to have to develop your own custom v-mount, it's as simple as that.

no worries, just got a hostile vibe or what not. I just wanted to know if their were any parts in a V-Mount that were universal that could be made in mass quantities to ease the pain of someone having to buy a full v mount kit and then try to sell the old intercooler.
Along those lines, it would be interesting to know if there are intercoolers out there (ie HKS) that are the same as the V-Mount kit so if someone already has said intercooler they could buy the kit without the same intercooler and save a few bucks and have the same quality. Again, I am just new to modding this car, so I am asking questions.

I just don't want you to find that the direction you are going with this will cost you more than it should. There are too many factors in fabing a v-mount in an fd that I have built one that looked fine on the cad but functioned like azz on the car. When I said that you get what you pay for was towards the ebay IC. I could teach anyone on this site how to fab IC duct all day long and look good.
