The owner is of course out of the country and the car is in some remote location, but seller will ship at his expense - as soon as you send him a cashier's check.

looks like a scam to me....let me know if they say they moved to texas, they have it in a shipping container and cant get to it, or to send them the money through a place like ebay so its safe for both of you, they will send you the car after you pay(oh shipping included) and if you dont like the car after 30 days you can send it back and get a full refund

if so...dont waist anymore of your time

oh and if you call the number and you get that aol noise then its definelty fake

i doubt thats real, probably a scam, or maybe stolen, but if you are able to go meet the person IRL and drive it home, thats one hell of a deal

those scams pop up from time to time....ive encountered 4 so far..all about the same price, in different locations

they dont expect people to have the ***** to buy a plane ticket with cash in hand...once you mention that to cut out their middle man(aka "ebay" or whatever there calling it) you will go to them...the post will disapear and you will never get another reply....unless they have an ego and give you the "remote location" ****...

when i was told that i told them i dont care ill pay whatever to see it in person(i mean if it was real i would be saving a **** load anyway) they dissapeared

my all time 2 favorites of these were

1) the car was just posted(i monitor because i want one real bad) in NJ(not far from me) i emailed same day...got an email back the next day saying they moved to texas.....fast moving huh?

2) woman selling FD she won in divorce..just wants to "get rid of it" in DC(also not far..especially for price[4k])..told her i wanted to come pick it up....told me it was at a shipping plant and could not be reached...and that once i sent the money it would be released and sent to me free of charge because she already paid shipping ahead of time

ahhh good times...good times

^ i had one where the person lived in Toronto, but was in the navy in UK, and the car was in Florida LOL, and of course if i western union him 9000$ he will ship it, oh and i couldn't even phone him because he was in the navy base, and he couldn't phone me either because superiors would not allow him to call anyone.

How do people fall for this stuff? Blows my mind.

Lets use some logic, do you really believe this guy posts this car(rare car for 1/5th the going value) for $3k on autotrader.com(the biggest car selling site in the world with the most traffic), and you just happen to be the lucky guy that contacts him and it hasnt sold yet?

Seriously people, wake up. This is why scammers dont make me that angry, if people are willing to fall for this then they are as much to blame as the scammer.

I wouldn't trust that if I were you, autotrader is notorious for fake posts and scams, unless you can go see what you buy in person I would be careful.
