What do I need to get in the 12's

Right now I am running a stock motor, turbos, intercooler. I have a intake, DP, MP, Catback and a PFC. I plan on upgrading my intercooler to a Apex FMIC. I was just wondering with my current engine/turbo configuration and street tires (non drag radial) how hard would it be to get into the 12's on pump gas. Also what other upgrades would I need to be able to achive this? Fuel pump, Injectors etc...... Am I asking to much not running on Drag radials or is more cost effective to just run with them.

Oh yeah, What is the highest boost I can run off of pump gas?

Thanks
Grant

The thing is I am still running stock boost lvls. I do not have my commander yet but I plan on raising my boost to 12psi as soon as I get it. My best currently is a 13.4. Will the extra 2psi get me to under 13. Oh yeah I have a ways to go as far as driving technique so maybe that is my biggest problem.

Thanks

I dont know much about comps, and stuff, but is yours LIMITING
the boost to 10psi? if so, than thats probly why your still in
the 13's i'd think.

Because i know that all those freeflow mods will raise
the boost all on their own! although it wont be a stable level.

But yeah, from what i've seen, if you bump that boost up to 14
(assuming the powerFC will give you more fuel to support it)
you should be in the 12's easy, even with your average drivin
skills.

13.4 with those mods is kinda sorry dude,
i've heard of people pulling close to that with NO mods whatsoever!

don't worry about it man....I got a speedy 13.6 for my best

The driving will improve...the car is already there. Try not to mistake car potential vs driver skill

You're in the 12's. People with my setup are in there deep.

I have to learn to drive the damn thing in a straight line...that 60' time is killing me!

ok, here is the deal. With your EXACT mod list I ran 12.3 @113 with the base map on my PFC. The PFC deos not limit your boost to 10psi. Chech the crossover pipe and make sure its pressed down all the way and not leaking.

Mine was running 12-12.5psi on my boost gauge.

I will say that I was running Nitto Drag radials. Drag Radials is the cheapest mod you can do!!!!! $220. for possibally a .5 second gain!!!! What was your 60 foot time? I've run 1.8x with the nittos so they help big time!!!

My advise is look for a boost leak and buy some drag radials

You have the power to run low/mid 12's with the right launch and hookup

I do have a ported wastegate and my understanding is that the Power FC with base maps has two boost settings. One is 10psi and the other is 12psi. I have an efini y-pipe and I have gone through my pipeing connections recently cause at one point I did have a leak. I am going to post about the two boost settings on the PFC forum. Or if anyone reading this knows whether it does or not can respond.

Thanks for all the helpfull information.

I got my best 60' time of 2.0x by slipping the clutch. All other times were 2.1-2.2. I have intake/exhaust/gutted cat/PFC/ FMIC and got 12.788 on 12psi. Best run without my FMIC was like 12.98, all on street tires
