What do I have?

I was driving the 7 tonight and noticed the clutch slipping pretty bad in 5th gear when I went WOT. I then remembered when I bought the car, the guy threw in a brand new clutch disk and pressure plate with the deal. So I searched through a few boxes of odd parts and finally found it. I'm not sure what kind it is or if it's a cheap-o brand clutch the guy gave me but here are a few pics...

I did do a search on RPS but couldn't find any substantial info on it.

Looks to be a standard RPS sport turbo clutch, nothing particularly special, but it should last quite a while if the car isn't making huge power.

RPS is a great street clutch. Improved strength over stock and very streetable. I was very happy with mine.

I don't know about the RPS first hand for my FD because I currently have the ACT S/S in my set up but I do have an RPS in my Supra and it works perfect.

This is great news. How can I tell which pressure plate I have (lbs. of clamping force)? This clutch has been stored away for at least 3 years, so would it still be in spec with the clutches RPS sell today? My clutch disk looks a little different than the one on their website (my hub has 6 damper springs rather than 4 that RPS sells now), so would that make a difference?

Just call RPS up and ask them. I'm sure they know their product line better than we do .

Hell, if nothing else it's better than what you have .

IIRC the six spring full disc is the street package (same one I had, and I purchased mine back in '03).

THIS ONE:

They just show a picture of a 4 spring disc, but it's definately supposed to be a 6 spring.
