What is the difference in a 'Smog Cerfitication' and a 'Test only Center'
Got my smog check notice this weekend for my FD....Can someone tell me the difference between a 'SMOG Certification Required' and a 'SMOG Certification Required at a Test Only Center'....
I'm completely stock....and no issues with my car except for the good ole back firing so I should pass.... I hope....
Anyone know what the difference is?

The California state agency in charge of the smog check program is the Bureau of Automotive repair. Here's a link to their web site where they explain the different types of inspection stations:

Cool. Thanks...looks like the only difference is the fact that Test Only centers don't do the repairs...Oh, well, gonna put a bottle of Guarantee to Pass Smog Check in my Tank and I'll be off...Thanks...Hopefully.
