What could have melted?

Hi there, I have installe hks twin power on leading coil and due to the possitive wire being loose when bolting the throttle body this positive wire got caught between the throttle body and the plastic elbow, and grounded itself. The car suddently stopped and smoke came from the coil. The positive wire plastic was melted like 3 inches. I have removed the hks twin power and tested the wire resistance and voltaje. The negative wires are all grounded, and the positive going to the leading coil looks grounded too...does it imply that the igniter is melted?

Now:
-Car doesnt start.
-Gauge cluster doesnt light at all when ignition is ON.
-Leading coil resistance is 0.6 ohm instead of the usual 1 ohm. I have tried another spare coil I have but the car doesnt start either.
-All fuses are ok.

What can be wrong? ECU maybe?

Thanks for your help

It's hard to say. When you short a bunch of wires like that you will have to go through things to find what's good and what's not.

The service manual has component tests for the coils and igniter. If they pass the test they should be good. Also it's quite possible you've blown a fuse or fuses, you'll need to go through them.

It is possible the ECU was damaged but it's hard to say. You can always try a spare ECU and see if that helps. But, first check all the stuff in the ignition circuit. Go through the wiring diagram in the shop manual and see where everything is connected to.
