I'm hypothesizing that one in two FD's out there are VR. It seems everywhere I go (ie. meets), it is about 50% VR.

 

Well mine use to be VR, but as you can see it's blue now.

Odd, I usually see red ones everywhere I go. I've only seen a few MBs and CYMs. I have *never* seen a BB in person.

 

Mine was VR but I wanted a deeper red, so I went with Rosso Corsa -Ferrari Racing Red

 

37% of FDs are vintage red

Certainly not 50%, but its by the far the most common FD color

Yeah it sucks, all the ones that I see for sale down here are VR. I'm dying to find a 5spd BB, CW, MB. Pretty much anything but red.

 

Mine was VR but it has been changed to Guards Red. I like the color red, it is a sighn of a true sports car. Not that sport cars cant be other colors YKWIM.

 

BB and VR looks best on our FD but thats just me

Which explains why Vintage Red is the most commonly seen color, followed closely by Brilliant Black and Montego Blue.

 

Cool, thanks for the stat! Personally, I'm tired of my VR. Most FD's I see are VR. I like something more rare, but I don't think I'm going to be shelling out $3k for a paintjob, so VR it is.

 

Wow, there was only 1 Pearly White FD produced? Now that would be nice to own...talk about rarity. I wonder if anyone here owns it or if it even exists anymore?

 

Mazda owns it, and it's at their museum as far as I know.

 

I drive down the major street next to Mazdatrix every day to catch the freeway, so I see quite a few during that part of the drive (which means about 3 per week ).

I've certainly sighted more reds here too, but it's the same few drivers each time. The MBs I see are almost always severly dented, each in a different place. It makes it easier to keep track of whether I've seen them before or not.

I actually bought my VR in SD. During the test drive we stopped for gas. At the carwash next to the gas station, there was a BB. So I know there's at least one there!

I've seen only one Chaste White. It was being driven by a woman on the 405 in bad traffic. It was a long time ago, and I didn't know they came in white at the time. It was quite a suprise.

 

Where's that dude with the pink FD? He is such a tool.
