what color to paint my FD

My FD is in the body shop right now, just trying to decide on a shade of silver to paint it. I want something brighter than the stock silverstone mica. I also ahve the 99 front end and wing going on. I want to paint the wing plane black but dunno if I should go gloss or satin. Here's what I'm considering:

Porsche artic silver
Toyota liquid silver
Lexus millennium silver
Audi light silver metallic

Let me know what you guys think.

Porsche Silver all the way. that, or BMW or Mercedes Silver. those are the nicest shades of silver, IMO.

BTW, your gonna paint the wing black??? why...so il looks like carbon fiber from a distance??? .

I don't want to go darker becuase I don't want to paint the door jams and under the hood. I want something that will be pretty close.

I would choose NSX silver, or Supra Anthracite (I think that's the name of the shade..not MSB). But the porsche arctic is a good choice.

The nsx silver is alot darker, and would not match the door jams or under the hood at all. I'm not too crazy about the anthracite. Its like grayish-green.

You can go to tjhe manufacturer's websites and check out the colors, but it doesn't really do them justice. Looks different in real life.

What would be a good red paint where I wouldn't have to repaint all the doorjams on a vintage red? I would like a different shade, but can't afford to go all out.

also, dont forget about Ferrari Silver and the bright silver on the newer S2000s. (the 2000/2001 S2000s came in a darker shade of silver.)

Ferrari Red. the difference wont be too drastic, but it is noticeable. ive seen an FD painted Ferrari Red and it wasnt that much different than VR, but it was much nicer. almost "brought the car to life", so to say. a non-RX-7 lover wont be able to tell the difference between FR and VR.

I plan on going with the new Mercedes Silver with a black GT style wing, and two black racing stripes. Go to some dealerships and get the paint codes of the ones you like! Just remember whatever you decide on you will be stuck with so do the leg work it wont take but one sat and sun.

Thumbs down whats your favorite color?

How can you ask someones opinion on which color you should paint your car? You should know what you want and like and do it. I can't believe that you are asking questions like that. heheheh...

I dont like the Porsche German Racing Silver. I like the Porsche Arctic silver, though.

One of the guys around here mixed a lil bit of blue with silver, and it looks VERY nice.

I have a Silver FD and if I had a choice I'd go darker. Somewhere between the standard silver and gunmetal.

I've never heard a bad thing about the Porsche silver. Post some pics for us when you're done regardless of what you end up choosing.
